Naughty Dog Training – Terms & Conditions

SECTION A – 1-to-1 Training Lessons & Lesson Packages

(Applies only to individual lessons and lesson packages)

A1. Booking & Payment

• All training lessons and lesson packages must be booked in advance.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure a lesson or package.
• A booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.

A2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Cancellations must be made with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to qualify for a full refund.
• Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
• The Owner may reschedule one session per package without penalty, provided at least 24 hours’ notice is given.

A3. Package Timeframes

To ensure consistency and progress, lesson packages must be completed within the following timeframes:

• 4-lesson package: must be completed within 6 weeks.
• 8-lesson package: must be completed within 10 weeks.

Rescheduling beyond these timeframes is not permitted unless exceptional circumstances apply and is at the Trainer’s discretion.

A4. Punctuality

• The Owner must arrive on time for all scheduled lessons.
• Late arrival may result in a shortened session without extension or refund.

A5. Health & Disclosure

• Dogs must be fit, healthy, and free from contagious illness at the time of training.
• The Owner must disclose all known medical conditions, behavioural issues, aggression, or bite history prior to training.
• Failure to disclose relevant information may result in immediate termination of training without refund.

A6. Training Methods

• Naughty Dog Training uses ethical, humane, balanced training methods which may involve all four quadrants of operant conditioning.
• The Owner agrees to follow the Trainer’s guidance and handling instructions throughout the training process.
• The Trainer reserves the right to refuse or discontinue training if welfare is compromised or instructions are not followed.

A7. Risk & Liability

• The Owner understands that working with animals carries inherent risks.
• The Owner accepts full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss caused by their dog.
• The Trainer is not responsible for injury or damage caused by the dog except where required by law.

A8. Lesson Training Progress Guarantee

Naughty Dog Training offers a Training Progress Guarantee, subject to Owner participation.

The guarantee applies only if the Owner:

• Attends all scheduled sessions within the package timeframe.
• Submits a minimum of two training videos between sessions for review.
• Applies the training consistently at home.

Failure to meet these requirements voids the guarantee.

If all conditions are met and no measurable progress has been made by the end of the package, the cost of the lesson package may be refunded at the Trainer’s discretion.

A9. Media & Content

• The Owner agrees that the Trainer may use photos and videos of the dog for educational or promotional purposes.
• No personal identifying details of the Owner will be shared.
• The Owner may opt out by notifying the Trainer in writing.

SECTION B – Residential Training Programme

(Applies only to dogs enrolled in Residential Training)

B1. Fees, Deposit & Payment

• A £250 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a Residential Training booking.
• The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days prior to the Programme start date (“Commencement Date”).
• A booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
• Any changes to the agreed Programme requested by the Owner may result in an adjustment to fees, confirmed in writing.

B2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

• The £250 deposit is strictly non-refundable.
• If the Owner cancels the Programme at any time, the deposit will be retained.
• If cancellation occurs 30 days or more before the Commencement Date, any sums paid above the deposit may be refunded at the Trainer’s discretion.
• If cancellation occurs within 29 days of the Commencement Date, no refund is guaranteed.
• If full payment is not received at least 7 days prior to the Commencement Date, the Trainer may release the booking and retain the deposit.
• Rescheduling may be offered at the Trainer’s discretion and subject to availability.
• Rescheduled bookings may involve delays of 2–3 months or longer.
• Deposits remain non-refundable but may be transferred.

B3. Veterinary Care & Health

• Dogs must be fit, healthy, flea-free, and fully vaccinated prior to commencing the Programme.
• The Owner must disclose all medical conditions, behavioural issues, aggression, or bite history honestly and fully.
• The Owner remains responsible for all veterinary costs not resulting from Trainer negligence.
• In an emergency, the Trainer may authorise veterinary treatment if the Owner cannot be contacted.
• All veterinary fees remain the Owner’s responsibility.
• Any undisclosed aggression or bite history automatically voids any training guarantee.

B4. Training Tools & Welfare Disclaimer

Naughty Dog Training uses humane, ethical, balanced training methods. Training tools may include slip leads, prong collars, and e-collars where appropriate and agreed.

The Owner acknowledges that:

• Tools are introduced correctly and proportionately.
• Some dogs may experience temporary skin irritation or coat wear.
• Dogs may experience mild stress while settling into a new environment.
• Dogs may experience temporary weight loss due to routine and activity changes.

The Trainer will always prioritise welfare and will never intentionally mistreat or neglect a dog.

B5. Risk & Liability

• The Owner understands that working with animals carries inherent risks.
• The Owner accepts full responsibility for any damage, injury, or loss caused by their dog.
• No specific behavioural outcome can be guaranteed.

B6. Residential Training Success Guarantee

The guarantee applies only if the Owner:

• Attends the handover session.
• Attends both post-training follow-up sessions.
• Attends a 3-month check-in follow-up.
• Submits two training videos between follow-ups.
• Applies training consistently at home.

The guarantee does not apply to:

• Aggression cases.
• Dogs with severe behavioural pathology.
• Owners who fail to follow training instructions.

Any claim must be made within 30 days of the final follow-up session.

B7. Media & Content

• The Owner grants permission for the Trainer to use photos and videos of the dog for educational or promotional purposes.
• No personal identifying details will be shared.
• Opt-out must be provided in writing prior to the Programme start date.

SECTION C – Digital Products

(Applies only to products bought in the Naughty Dog Training online store)

A1. Cancellation & Refunds - Digital Products

• All digital products, including downloads and online training materials, are non-refundable. Access is granted immediately upon payment, and therefore refunds cannot be provided.

GENERAL TERMS – Applies to All Training

Changes to Terms

• The Trainer reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.
• Any changes will be communicated prior to the next scheduled session.

Data Protection

• All Owner information is stored securely and will not be shared except where legally required or necessary for veterinary or insurance purposes.

Governing Law

• This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
